When excess fluoride is reported in deeper aquifers attempts are being made to dilute it by recharging the deeper aquifers directly.
The structure has been designed by a geologist and reaches a 100 metre deep. It is located in a 'tank' an artificial water body. Water when it fills in the tank will be filtered through a sand filter and let into the borewell through a perforated casing. The casing itself here is 60 metres deep , the first 10 metres unperforated and the the further 50 metres below peerforated. Monitoring the performance will be crucial to determine the success of this experiment.
