A warmer planet allows more bio diversity. 3 degrees on average warmer and the whole Sahara desert will turn lush green again as it was 100,000 years ago c02 does have a warming effect but it is not significant at human level out put at our current rate we would need to put out much more to really say we effected climate and a shorter time span as there are other variables that effect climate much more than just co2

@ToshiroHoshi The earth does change temp naturally so what that does not mean we can not become one of the causes of that change. 1 degree is only what you get if you naively only consider CO2 ability to hold heat. It completely ignores all the science that predicted and has since been shown to be true that shows increasing green house gasses decreases the rate of heat lose from the lower atmosphere to the upper, it also ignore the feedback relationship that has been shown between CO2 and temp.

Dr. Roy W.Spencer, a former senior NASA climatologist is the world's leading expert on new findings concerning chaotic, internal natural cycles that have been causing periods of warming and cooling for millenia.
