This race is part of racing history..including an "anonymous till then" Ayrton Senna.
what a fantastic chance of life bringing him to race that day among other legends when he was a "none" yet in F1.
long life to the legend!!!
Senna for ever!!

A very poignant race that is a very rare find. I always wanted to see this race not because it means everything its just because its part of the Senna rise to fame.

One of a kind! Senna forever.

Senna was very tough but never dirty. These are very different things. And who said he put Prost out of the race? Because the footage don't show anything about it and the frenchman always complained too much. His statement is a bit suspicious. And let's be fair, he never needed any help to loose the car on wet tracks.

What the hell are you talking about! How do you jump start from second and push Prost out?
It was a wet race to start and anyone who knows anything about F1 know that Senna was one of the greatest wet racer and Prost one of the worst. Senna was in second and half way through the lap he pushed his way through. They were salon cars so they are going to touch. Fact is, Prost was too slow in the wet.

I heard about this race about 7 years ago and I thought that was a legend, if I am not mistaken it was an interview from Prost...thank you!

Prost took the pole for this race... Senna jump started then pushed Prost out of the track on first lap!

I bet all those legends who were there at the time were like 'who's this senna guy, coming along and winning'....quite funny when you think that he ironically became a legend himself. He came round 'full circle' in his life, and what a life and man to be.

Can somebody tell me where to find any vid of the FIA's WSPC 1984 Nurburgring race?

To this day im still upset that Senna had the die so young.

@amp888 Also regarding Suzuka '90. Balstre the FIA president clearly favoured Prost (his fellow French man) It was agreed prior to qualifying with race officials and drivers that pole position would be on the cleaner race line side. Balstre switched pole position to the green side of the track after Senna qualified on pole. Senna was furious to say the least. A review of the telemetry showed that Senna never let up on the throttle, he wasn't aiming to make the corner.
