We're hoping this month... Getting Apple's approval of our developer application has been rough to write the least. Thank you for paying attention :) Cheers
Actually I contacted you and I built that app. They AJNAG/Devin Calloway stole it from me, sold it and made ~7500 which I never saw a dime of. I had to file legal complaints for fraud, check kiting and copyright infringement. Finally I got it PULLED and upped my code for free. I have nothing against weedmaps, justin, etc and should have worked with them in the beginning. I was taken advantage of.
I'm glad to hear that things probably aren't as bad as they seem (which I thought anyways). No one wants to think badly of a company, but sometimes news manipulation can do that.
AJNag, the guys who brought the $3.99 Cannabis iPhone app. are the ones behind spreading some anti-Weedmaps feeling. By the way, they originally contacted us to help build their iPhone app, using an API we created for them, and later cut us out to sell it at $3.99. Ours will be completely free.
I think everyone working with us, including Dick Cowan (former director of NORML) would disagree. You're writing about a badly paraphrased interview Justin did a while back; it shocked me too.
Interesting you replied so fast, smartass. I made my comment because Weedmaps is a service that runs on, and gets its profits, from advertisements. Weedmaps is a known exploit of the medical marijuana system and, assuming you are a representative, I would highly recommend you work on your public image before trying to profit on a system that was intended and created to help the sick.
Wow! I'm the smartass Weedmaps developer. You know, operating Weedmaps costs more money to operate every month than we bring in: website-related expenses, employees to manage the community, photographers to shoot our clubs, promotion and marketing for our advertisers (we've got to return them something--right?), development of exciting new technology (like the iPhone app) for our users, etc... We're able to stay in business because everyone has side jobs. Weedmaps is a labor of love.

Nothing you say can negate that fact and it's rubbed a lot of people, besides me, the wrong way.
I'm not commenting out of spite, but because your company misrepresents the industry entirely.
My original comment derived from the advertising in place on the current site as well as just speculation.
