Your description is not bad at all. In fact, it's really a fact to be more sincere. However, I don't think nihilists are the only ones that will act like the Joker did. The existentialist will do the same, though he or she will think different. I mean, the existentialist will say that it's your responsibility to choose but remember you sometimes have to break away what you think is right or wrong. Just go with the flow into what you think you should do and not limit yourself into some rules.

Great Video remains one my favorite to this day. Secular humanists need to watch this one, and read your decription

An athiest can be a secular humanist but an intelectual athiest must acknoledge that secular humanism's ideals are not right or wrong but rather just a preference

Hi Nihilist,
would you mind stating your view? I'm sincerely curious. Are you stating that atheism necessarily entails nihilism? I would believe it does. But I'd also like to hear a nihilist's view on the matter.

Well done. This is why it has always amused me when atheists accuse theists of "deluding themselves into belief in God". Yet they simultaneously delude themselves (within the contextual implications of their worldview) into belief in a system of binding moral ethics. Even those atheists who concede that morality can only be subjective (again; tethered to their worldview), still make moral objections against others all the time. Such hypocricy.

An excellent point... it's pretty obvious where I fall on this...

The madman is more sane and rational than the "good" and mentally normal.
I'm fucking scared.
And excited.
