  • nice work man. i appreciate it.

  • @JAROSLAVAGINA thanks

  • so I can run my diesel off of 20% gas mixed with WVO?

  • @BFMValentineOwns Yes, most diesel engines will run on a blend of 20% gasoline (petrol) to 80% waste oil year round. However, I have recently found that more gasoline is better. So, I am now advocating 30% gasoline to 70% waste oil.

  • Whats that jig on the back of that van rig in the prelude?

  • @Begbucks The equipment on the back of my van is for processing waste oils into diesel fuel, for back-flushing the filters to regenerate them, and the hoses and equipment for collecting waste oil.

  • @tblaney2 the various blending experiments were simply finding all of the solvents that will dissolve into WVO so that it becomes thinner, to bring the blend closer to the viscosity of diesel fuel, so that it will burn more efficiently in a diesel engine.

  • @Jhananda cool

  • @riegirrl The reason why I blend waste vegetable oil (WVO) with gasoline, instead of diesel fuel, is it takes twice as much diesel fuel to accomplish the same thinning effect of using gasoline. Also, blending gasoline at 20% with WVO will keep the fuel blend liquid and firing down to 0F (-18c) without the need of a block heater; however, no amount of diesel fuel blending with WVO without gasoline in the blend will be liquid at that temperature.
