  • oh my gosh, Wings is SUCH a good movie!

  • "Rhett! Where should I go? What should I do?!"

"Frankly mt dear, I don't give damn."

LMAO! Best line ever said in a film! LOL! She deserved what she got, she was horrible to him!

  • My favorite is The Best Years of Our Lives. Least favorite is Cimarron.

  • forget wat i said....it's now "Marty"

  • I appreciate the compilation, though I do wonder about some of the scenes that you picked, some of them could have been a bit better verbal, or a more action-y shots and I did notice a few spoilers...

    Otherwise, thank you!

  • i gotta goal to see all of them i started back in early 09. gotta lot to go. So far Forrest Gump's my favorite of em.

  • "Wings" was one of three films given an Academy Award at the first Oscar ceremonies in 1928. The three awards given were "Outstanding Production" for "Wings", along with "Outstanding Artistic Quality of Production" for "Sunrise" and "Pioneering Outstanding Production" for "The Jazz Singer". By the next year's ceremonies, there was only one award for films: "Best Production" (given to "Broadway Melody").

  • Yeah, Sunrise was given a special Best Production award, kind of considered a co-Best Picture winner, but in the Academy's official history, they proclaim Wings as the official first Best Picture winner.

  • What about Sunrise? In 1928, two awards were given out that were Best Picture-ish, one was given to Wings, and the other to Sunrise.
