"He's my best friend." The Crystal Nicely Story

Marine Corporal Todd Nicely was injured in Afghanistan in March 2010 many people did not expect him to survive. Cpl Nicely was injured when he stepped on an explosive device and became one of only 3 men to survive as a quadruple amputee among other injuries from the blast. Cpl Nicely's wife, Crystal, flew to be with him at the hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. Her first reaction when she saw him was "Ok, he's still alive. He's still with me." Crystal, a retired Marine, knew it wasn't going to be easy but the Marine spirit would help them through it. We talk with them about Todd's recovery and look at it through Crystal's eyes.
