  • Proof positive that the stuff that Brian would throw away was better than 75% of what was being recorded by other bands. How did this one disappear? Can you imagine what this would have sounded like with full BB harmony?

  • Brian is sexy!! What a beautiful man!

  • @cobrajetter : Amen, brother !! As a life-long BW fan ever since I was 13 yo in 1967, I couldn't agree with you more. Fabulous comment !!

  • @jmua04 Yes. Brian was heavily into multitracking and did a lot of it by himself before the group was formed.

  • Beautiful!!

  • This is awesome

  • An awesome production for its day .. given that it's from way back in 1963. cobajetter is 100% correct .. BW's songwriting, even in 1963, was way ahead of his competition.

  • Is this Brian multitracking himself?

  • This is evidence of the genius of Brian Wilson, even at age 21: to take standard doo-wop chord changes and create the melody and harmonies we have here. Not long after this, when he recruited The Wrecking Crew for the instruments on the Beach Boys recordings, he surpassed Phil Spector as a record producer.
