How inexpensive are these homes?

Our actual costs for materials and labor is about $8,000 for 720 S.F or 72 square meters home that is 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, kitchen, all electrical, plumbing, septic system and well with pump for good water supply.

I'd like to get more experience building with CEBs, just having taken a workshop through Tierra y Cal. Ultimately, our little fledgling org, Guatemala Housing Alliance, would like to build CEB homes with/for those living in extreme poverty, instead of the less sustainable and less lovely cement blocks. Do you know of anywhere I can be grunt labor on a team. Next trip for me will be november.

I wanted to ask have you incorporated these brick into an underground methane pit?there is a lot of good videos of this being done in third world countries to cut down on deforestation so they use the methane to cook with and to also heat their homes.

People just forget in the fight for "their" freedom" they forget the key to a person with good character is Don't trample on people in your path to self fulfillment. There's good & bad people in all walks of life, some loose their way and make others look bad. Goodness come within, placing a title on your 'belief system" does make one so ( this applies to those who has no "belief" system) We all need to remember humanity first and foremost. (Yes I am Atheist)

I really like the work your doing for the poor,also I understand free speech,what I don't understand is the constant need for people to criticize christian content or beliefs.You would think instead of adding something constructive and add an idea to this they could at least say "this is a great video"point is you tube is like a tv set at home. if you don't like or agree with the "content"you have the "right" not to watch it and thus change the channel and watch something else.
