1982 Mustang 5.0 vs 2010 Taurus SHO

He got me off the line with a 2.0 60 foot to my 2.3 60 foot. I stayed right behind him through all of second gear and then he started to get away when I went into third, ended up beating me by about half a second. The 2010 SHO has a twin-turbocharged 3.5L engine producing 365 hp and 350 lb/ft of torque. Pass made at Speedworld Raceway Park on August 19 with 105 degree heat and 5026 ft density-altitude.

@tommy02wrx This is when the car was basically stock.... FYI your WRX is basically upgraded to an STI, nothing more. STI injectors, STI intercooler, STI turbo, and a cold air kit. You have a stock STI now. I have taken out stock STIs easily over and over again. The last STI that was a good race for me was an '05 that was pretty heavily modded.

Thirdly, FYI, my car is nothing like the sti. It has a completely different map, numerous different parts, and about 100hp more. Also, the stock 2002 sti is quicker than the 05, and the UK spec was faster than the US spec. Honestly, while your car is getting whooped by a 220hp SHO, I think you should lay low and keep you mouth shut!

In this video my car was nearly stock as stated, and the 2010 SHO has a 365 hp, twin turbocharged 3.5L V6, and I barely lost. My car is tickling 12s on street tires with an easy launch @ 107 mph here in Arizona. Let's see some timelips of your car.

1991 Ford SHO, 220 HP, 200 ft/lb of torque, and could give 5.0's a run for their money, if not flat outrun them. And thats non turbo'd.

@cmaxO123 Not a 5.0 5 speed in good mechanical condition. 225 hp, 300 lb/ft torque. Anyway, there aren't many bolt-ons you can do to a SHO. It's pretty much just turbo kit. There are many ways to go with a 5.0.

@Damonunit Yea I know. I was saying that in the 2010 SHO, there is no lag. I drove one and punched the gas from a dead stop without brake torquing it or anything. Just let off the brakes and stabbed the gas and there was no lag. It instantly shot to 40 mph. I don't think you know what you're talking about. Manual transmissions don't have a centrifugul clutch lol do you even know what that is? Automatic is more beneficial for turbo because you aren't letting off the gas when you shift.
