That was a fun day. Check out the other 2 videos of me with my shotgun. The slug video is a video response.

Hey, I'd love to see it! Still, it was a lot of fun watching you annihilate those targets at short range! Get filming. I subscribed to your site so I'll see anything new as soon as you post it.

@SniperAce016, yeah my 300 weatherby Mk V puts my 168 grain burger out at 3300, and i actually don't load it too strong for the sake of my shoulder. 3250 is still incredible but its no where Near unheard of.

fucking jewish people dont know how to make videos

@TeamShadowOps What about a real world 24 to 26 barrel inch velocity? Factory 180 gr. loads over a chrono run about 3150 to 3200 for the weatherby and about 3100 to 3250 for the RUM in my experience.
The short mags are pushing to get to 3000 with safe loads.

@SniperAce016 I know this is an old comment, but 3250 for a weatherby and 3400 for a ultra mag is totally believable. I shoot (only haha) a 300 winny but can push 180 grains over 3000 fps chronographed, but my gun likes them around the 2940 mark. I understand the want for more range, but with a ballistics chart and range finder i can get all the distance i need with my gun, which only leaves me to wonder why you need all the extra kick and fasater throat erosion?

@SniperAce016 Like to know one better ?
I built my self a 8mmx378 weatherby with a Brevex action and a 30" Douglass barrel .
180 grain bullets with molydbenum Disulfide spray on coating and 110gr of IMR 7828 does from this gun 4100 fps.
I also use Moly lube to coat the inside of the barrel for even more velocity like 250fps more by using the moly paist
To proling the life of my barrel I use 105 gr IMR 7828 that will push the 180 Barns X at 3600+fps.
I use a bata Chrony to check Velocity .

Have you tried the nosler E-tips? They have pretty high coefficients compared to other bullets the same weight. I think the 180 gr. .308 has a 0.523. Also from personal experience, the 200 gr. accubond is excellent.

ya and whats the difference in bullet weight?....
-
it only took Remington 50 years to come up with a .30 cal to compete with Weatherby. I'm a 700 fan too :)
-
3250 is not that much a 22 250 can get 4000 maximum
-
wow you killed a jug. gonna eat that?
3250 yeah right

@csjackson97 @csjackson97 3250 ft/s with a 180 grain pill is really not that impressive, my new Remington Sendero SFII chambered in .300 RUM is getting over 3400 ft/s with 178 grain A-max's and Hodgdon Retumbo powder, if you want me to PM you the load data I will, but why would I lie?

nice splatter. are these FPS chrono verified or just what the box says?

Chrono'd, and I would show some long range shots with the RUM, but as of now I do not have a riflescope and it's winter, so I'll definitely put that on my checklist for when the spring begins. As for bullets I'm going to experiment with the 208 grain a-max, then I'll try the 210 SMK's.

@haylspa Geez that's good velocity for such a low powder charge, especially with the .30-378!
