I'm not sure, it needs to be an actor who can pull off that intense stare (Which is why I suggested Leto) but he's just such a difficult character to embody, and all the super talented male actors are too old...

Let's just hop in a time machine and get a young Clint Eastwood. Instant Oscar.

I wouldn't describe Roark as "charismatic" that's lumping him into a Gatsby archetype. He's determined, yes, and confident. He's too serious for me to describe as charismatic.

Hm maybe, but I think Di Caprio ist the best to play such a charismatic character. THere might be someone, who`s better, but I can´t think of anyone.

Also you can do a lot about the physical aspect wih make-up, etc.:)

I can't see DiCaprio as Roark... He needs to have more defining features like Jared Leto's eyes or Matt Smith's chin.
