This is my entry for the play it forward ukulele video contest: http://ukulelereview.com

Ever wonder why it's so hard to play an E-chord? Not anymore! The technique in this video will require practice and repetition, but if you learn it your barre chords will be 10 times better!

  • maybe god intended YOUR finger to bend back like that but mine doesn't. it's stiff as a board. any suggestions for a workaround for d and c with a finger that doesn't bend?

  • Ha, it was as if you were pulling stringed instruments outta your ass during the demonstartion.

  • The top joint of my thumb, index and little fingers bend but not my ring or middle fingers. Cosmetic surgery to reverse the joint would be a bit too far! :) Maybe for those of us ring-finger-top-joint-reverse-bendically challenged we can try wearing a stiff finger glove ...

  • Thanks for that super tip on "D". I use the other D fingering mostly (2nd,3rd,4th fingers) but your tip is great for switching between Gm and D in a very fast song that I was doing and having problems! Thanks!!!

  • Geezle Creezle-- the E finally makes sense where its usable (even to a noob.)

    You rock. Thanks so much!
