can you tell me in which hospital was it?I will warn everyone against that place <
God ! I am so sorry for you, rarely can you see such ignorant , heartless and impersonal doctors and nurses as those were, they seem to ignore your presence and behave as if you were some training robot with no feelings or free will..and that midwife ! she was supposed to help and give support ? ? she should change her profession .

Wow what a journey! I had both my daughter's with a midwife at a birthing center in Jacksonville, Florida. Now that we live in Tennessee, in the location that we live, we don't have that option. I frankly am scared to death to have the baby that I am pregnant with now at the hospital!!!

I'm so sorry that this happened to you, but I'm also very glad you posted this because it shows us that we must do our research and educate ourselves. It isn't safe to leave our births in the hands of others. Knowledge is power and in order to get the outcome we want, we need to equip ourselves with as much knowledge as possible. Thank you so much for posting this!

@kismutt1 Who EVER said I hated ob's? I actually love mine. I would love to try a home birth one day, and I don't think there's anything wrong with a hospital birth. Where am I spewing garbage at? Lady, you're crazy. You also have no idea what happened to that lady during her birth, or whether or not the drugs she was given caused her baby to have mental disabilities. I've also never once heard a midwive put down an ob. NEVER. You need to grow up already, it'd be about damn time.
-
@tayboox33 The lady was trying to blame the hospital for her mentally retarded child. I find it very rude that midwives and people like you who hate OBGYN's spew garbage on youtube. Do you see Doctor's on here spewing garbage about midwives? No, because they are professionals and don't have time to be so immature. However, everywhere you go on youtube, midwives are spewing garbage and negativity about Doctors and hospitals.
-
@kismutt1 WOW. So you're that old and being rude to people on youtube? You're cool. I feel bad for your children, luckily they are grown. I've seen so many of your comments where you spew negativity to other women. The comment about the mentally retarded child was very uncalled for. Shame on you.

@tayboox33 I have two healthy children ages 20 and 22. Both were born in hospital and it was a great experience.

@kismutt1 Wow you are a sick person. I hope you don't ever have children.

The number of medical errors made by the hospital staff during your birth outnumber the spaces allowed for this answer. On your behalf I am disgusted. I have never and would never treat a birthing mother and her baby in this manner. Please, to all expectant parents watching this - let this be a WARNING to you. Give birth at home or in a birthing centre, and visit it first, talk with the staff. Read and learn before you have your baby. And above all - write a birth plan!

Good on you
I was born at home and saw my brother and sister been born at home and it was the best experience I ever had. I even got to help cut the cord!!!
OK, a very heated debate is going on, which hopefully will revert back to some level of respect and civility on both sides. The beauty of our country is that you have the option to pursue whichever birthing option you personally think is safest, which is ultimately the MOST important thing for a laboring mama. It is critical for all moms to do their own research from many sources to obtain information. Regardless of a mother's choices, there is no need for hatred based on differing opinions.
