Iron Maiden's "Killers" on bass - LRRG

This album is the second Iron Maiden album I ever owned. I loved this first tune, but I had to hide it from my parents because I was worried as to what they would think about a tune so fast called "Killers". Heck, that's tame compared to some of the stuff I listened to later, but after Styx and Asia, Maiden was pretty heavy.

I have never been able to play all five and a half minutes of this tune with my fingers and do it any degree of justice. Hence, I go with the ole Geezer Butler finger-to-pick transition.

This is the type of tune to play early in a gig.....by the end of the gig, there is little energy left for this monstrosity of triplicates.

@MetalBassist6 I play both styles...plus slap. To me, all styles are necessary to learn because bass playing covers a lot of styles. People who talk shit about picks get banned from my channel, so thyat will let you know what I think about the "idiot" who told you that.

Killers was the first record I ever bought! Still love it to this day! Man that's some bass playing - fantastic!

@MetalBassist6 i honestly think the bass sounds better played with the fingers you dont get theat scraping punch pick sound but everyone has their own style of playing so no one should bad talk about weather you use a pick on a bass or not i think the proper way is to play with your fingers and that what i do but what this guy is doing actully takes some skill and alot of pratice
