1970; si piangeva la morte di Jimi Hendrix e la fine dei BEATLES, era uscito "Bitches Brew" di Miles Davis, il progressive si stava preparando a sfornare altre pietre miliari dopo quelle dei NICE, FAMILY, COLOSSEUM e KING CRIMSON, Canterbury aveva imboccato la strada del jazz-rock ... e i MAGMA erano già OLTRE!! ... Imbarazzanti? ... Scioccanti? ... "Inopportuni"? ... Avevano VERAMENTE qualcosa da dire e perciò concretizzavano senza inibizioni e timori reverenziali. IMPRESSIONANTI!!

True, people are free to like the music or not. But I'm not sure at all how Magma could be considered pseudo intellectual. They are creative artists who are following their own muse, like it or not.
