I agree, and you know, it actually makes Ole Miss look better to play up Texas Tech. Afterall, a 9-4 team that manhandles a great 11-2 team will always look great, but if they just exposed a fraud equal to 2007 Hawaii, then they're just a modestly average team like Boston College, Northwestern, or Cal. This game actually reminded me a little of the 2008 Capital One Bowl where Michigan beat a heavily favored Florida team that had Heisman winner Tim Tebow on it.

Texas Tech is a good football team, but after getting absolutely DRILLED in Norman, they fell apart. Yes, Ole Miss was the better team that day (not just because of points either, Ole Miss had more yards and had the ball for what seemed like another hour), and I'm glad that the Rebels have risen from being the conference joke to a powerful team in one year. You guys are on my "watch out for these guys in 2009" list. But I don't think it's accurate to say 2008 TTU is worse than 2007 Hawaii.

kinda like tech beating texas then? how do you know that this tech team is so great? Off the top of my head, the only damn good team tech beat was Texas....and by your rational, Texas just didnt show up to play in that game. This is the reason why we have bowl games. you bring your best game to the field NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

i understand this... but they have lost it before and with a similar roster. all i'm saying that any team in college football can be beaten by anyone, its just a matter of who shows up to play. no doubt that ole miss had a great year and i applaud them for it, and i know that the SEC is the hardest and most prestigious conference, but i believe that TTU wasnt entirely on their game that day, and ole miss showed up ready to play, and took advantage of it. congrats ole miss.
