This is a great car, i originally owned a 2004 BMW Z4, and i traded it in for the 08 Mazda Miata, greatest decision i ever made, the fun factor as mentioned is off the charts, this car makes up for not being a super fast cars with the handling. If you want a faster car then i say go for the s2000, but i love this car.

the HP ratings changed because the FIA regulations for measuring HP have changed. The motor is the same and outputs the same amount of power. Acceleration times should not be any different and the 09's should be even better since it gains a couple of revs. 0-100 is really in the 7s (6.9 on a very good day, 8 on a bad one.)

I have a 2006 GT bought used w/ 27000 on it and as the guy said its a blast. Two things I will coment on the 2006 model is rated at 170hp, for 07 and 08 its rated 166, torque remains at 140 now im not sure why that is but if you look at 0-60 times the 06 seems to be a bit quicker 6.5 to around 7.0 if you check also get the aluminum pkg for the interior it looks way better that the shiny black IMOA anyway great car for sure
