This is part 2 of an HD video we shot and produced as part of a review we did in the free to join www.ScubaMagaqzine.net Underwater Photo, Video, Travel & Dive Discussion Community. There you can paste the url to your YouTube scuba videos and they will appear in your posts with no uploading required so you can share your cool dive videos with other divers.

On this particular assignment a Philippines television station met me out at the resort and interviewed me, followed me on a day and night dive and used this HD video footage and aired it on a nature based television show.

We'll be using this and some future HD video footage shot in the Philippines to produce an HD multimedia production of Philippines Dive Tourism. We'll be taking that on the U.S. scuba show presentation circuit.

  • 1:18 what kind of shirmp is that?! O.O

  • Brevicarpalis deconstructed is brevi, latin for small or short, and carpalis, relating to the forearms or wrist area, as in carpal bone.

Put it all together and it loosely means "small shape shifting flower"

  • At 1:18 the shrimp is a Periclimens brevicarpalis.

The name is derived from Periclymenus a shaft shiiting character in Greek Mythology's Jason and the Argonauts, whose name is derived from the Greek peryclimenu, or honeysuckle, a flower that changes shape throughout the daylight cycle.

  • I obtained license free music from musicdownloads dotcom where artists were trying to get exposure. The site has since been closed. I don't remember the title.

The camera is an HDRFX1 with custom German made achromatic magnification diopters and twin HID lighting.

  • Kitty, yes, that is a robust ghost pipefish at .58.

Thanks everyone, but Mother Nature deserves all the credit, where she did some of her finest work in the Philippines, I am just lucky enough to be a messenger :)
