  • It's refreshing to see a presentation on patriotism that doesn't revolve around such superficialities as lapel pins and flag-saluting etiquette. Thanks for reminding us that some of the most ardent patriots have also ranked among the most vocal critics of a country still striving to fulfill the promises made more than two centuries ago. That message couldn't come at a better time in our national dialogue. Kudos, Sam!
