I discovered this song by Vernon in the lare 60's (around 1966-1968) when I was digging a lot of rock and roll songs from the Sun Records vaults. The original version by Vernon has been released in mid 1959 on Sun single 325. Vernon is one of my favourite rock'n'roll singer since then. Thanks for sharing.
This version was released same time as Elvis. It was Elvis last recording at London American, but it was released by Elvis on the RCA label. Heard this only today on BBC Sound of Sixties,Brian Matthew. This is a better Rockabilly love that SAX. Wonder did The Coasters copy it.
Issued on London in the UK. That Sax gets in the way.
