PHILIPPINES
Pearl of the orient seas,
A very rich country,
But richness is taken by greed.
By the corrupt government
Who forgot to do their
Promises to the poor people.

ODE TO MY COUNTRY
Since when have been so blind?
That our dilemmas need solutions that we couldnt find.
Tell me what are hopes and dreams will become
When were lifeless, careless, and numb.

Even bloodlines today,
Could never find the force
Maybe they can be the very first source,
Children now live in alleys,
So fragile and so tender.

I wonder when we well ever surrender
Politics worsen after each and everyday
They give us false hopes by the promises they say.
From the start of January to the end of May,
These shrewd beings always get their way.

Whos taking good care of the place where we live?
Our ignorance of environmental stability makes us so naïve.
Burning of grasses, of leaves, of trees
Which results to an incurable disease

Youth we are the future generation
Shall we stand if this still happens to our nation?
Lets be one and live a better tomorrow
Lets put the end to this hurt and sorrow.

THE MIGHTIER GENDER
Generations to generations
But its still undecided,
Whos greater?
Man or Woman?

Man exclaimed,
Were the best
Because were strongest,
Among the rest.

Women responded,
Men are losers,
Because were smarter
Than any other.

Theres only one answer,
Were all winners,
Because were brothers and sisters,
And that fact can never be changed forever

Look at the sparrows,
So small and light,
Not one is forgotten by Gods sight,
So live in his love and take delight,
Because each one is important in the Circle of Life.

Love is not a matter of
Intellectual knowledge
Vulnerability or
Empowering reign

Love is being
Accepted for who you are
Understanding you without
Giving a word and
Hugs for no reason.

Love is
Often being called undefined but it
Varies to the heart that gives
Everything

THE KING AND THE QUEEN
The king said,
Be my queen,
And Ill be you king,
Well live in a wing,
And fly with keen.

The queen responded,
Certainly my king,
But please dont mesmerize thee,
Coz you might sting,
Thy goddess of the ring,

They both decided,
Well go to Rome,
And sit on our throne,
And when were gone,
Well have some fun.
