Please go and get a clue. EVERYONE knows that Michael Steele lost because it was a down year for Republicans. Throughout history, there has been political shifts, and this year was a shift towards Democrats. Maryland is extremely Democratic, and it would be hard for ANY Republican to win in Maryland during ANY year especially in 2006. Ben Cardin's campaign did not win--Republicans lost. That is the difference.
