the first vest he shot at was the PASGT vest just basically a upgraded version of the old vietnam m69. the vest could have plates placed in it to stop a ak-47 7.62 round. but the plates were considered to heavy so most troops didnt wear the rifle stopping plates.

My stepdad had to procure his own bodyarmor before being deployed, because he was told they didn't have enough to go around. How long do you think we can keep this war going for? What happens if we get attacked by China or Russia while 90% of our national gaurd is away securing oil?

Yeah, those flak jackets are the same ones we had when we deployed there in '90 and '91. They're really only useful for shrapnel, not direct fire. Today those things are outmoded and outdated. Burns deserves everything he's getting now.

Remember how the right smeared that soldier as a 'tool of the left" today he 'd probaly be accussed of not really having fought in Iraq.
