In Greek and Roman mythology, Apollo (in Greek, Ἀπόλλων—Apóllōn or Ἀπέλλων—Apellōn), is one of the most important and many-sided of the Olympian deities. The ideal of the kouros (a beardless youth), Apollo has been variously recognized as a god of light and the sun; truth and prophecy; archery; medicine and healing; music, poetry, and the arts; and more. Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, and has a twin sister, the chaste huntress Artemis. Apollo is known in Greek-influenced Etruscan mythology as Apulu. In Roman mythology he is known as Apollo.

  • Like it doesn't really matter if he's gay as long as he doesn't show people that he's had sex wit a guy. I don't wana see lesbian sex either. But othet than that, this video is good. I like this vid cuz it's bout Greek Mythology.

  • So he was gay... Um. I'm a female and i'm straight and taken... Umm. I don't really like gay men. Well, i don't like it wen they make out or touch each other in front of me. So he was also the God of music? How both him bein a God of gay sexual and music? Sounds right. I'm jus here cuz i like learning. And i like the Greek Mythology. Ima put like. This vid is good. I do have some friends that are bi-sexually, but their not gay. They mostly like girls. Sometimes me. But he's gay. So oh well. Lik

  • Apollo wasn't the first god to have a male lover- Zeus fell in love with Ganymede, the most beautiful of mortals (a prince of the Trojan royal house). One day while Ganymede shepherded his flocks on Mount Ida, Zeus seized him or he sent an eagle to carry him to Olympus and Ganymede remained there as a cupbearer to the gods.

  • @TheDarkKnightBegins2 no, Apollo did have gay lovers. Two of whom are Hyacinth and Cyparissus.

  • Ok im looking at the lovers of apollo and I don't see any male ones only female ones I think this is incorrect or maybe stupid athenians or romans put out that he was gay since there were alot of creepos in those cities and or cultures.

  • @MrMcQuackster nope

  • @DarthVader35784 mine 2

  • Apollo, so what if he is bisexual? XD Was a normal thing in ancient Greece. I see a lot of immature comments, and why poor Artemis?!LOL Should she be boned by her brother? O_O BTW Daphne was a myth relating to a specific Laurel cult, not an actual love affair. In my opinion, Apollo loved Coronis the most. Cassandra was more like a love/affair. I honestly think after what happened with Coronis he became a bit bitter. That's why after Asclepius died, he usually coupled with men.c: To avoid babies.

  • thumbs up if you have summer homework...

  • ...I thought Nobuo Uematsu was the god of music. Boy was I wrong. >.>
