Introducing The Bandwidth Oracle

Have you ever turned on your radio only to hear the song you were thinking of a moment before?

Have you ever changed radio stations and noticed a specific theme connecting many of the songs?

Have you ever gained new insight within your own personal experience after encountering a coherent thread of seemingly random events?

Synchronicity /ˌsɪŋ.krəˈnɪs.ɪ.ti/: the experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated occurring together in a meaningful manner. To count as synchronicity, the events should be unlikely to occur together by chance. The concept of synchronicity was first described by Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung in the 1920s.

What I've gradually come to realize about synchronicity is that it is not something external that happens to us, it is in fact something that we create and then increase with our growing awareness of it.

Our external experiences are always projections of our internal realities. We create our own universes and then merge with others to create a collective reality. We, in a sense, choose what's on the radio...

The simple act of tuning into a series of radio broadcasts (or flipping through TV channels, or even walking through a crowded area and overhearing portions of conversations) can be seen as a form of divination - seeing beyond accepted reality revealing the underlying core truth of certain situations.

Scanning the entire radio bandwidth with a particular question or intention in mind should reveal more about the situation, similar to consulting a deck of tarot cards or the I-Ching. The series of transmissions represents a conduit for communication with the collective consciousness itself.

The information that is reflected by the 'Bandwidth Oracle' is a type of internal dialogue which is externalized to enable further insight, whether it be your Higher Self, the collective consciousness, or the universe that is facilitating the communication.

So why Radio?

Well, it's easily accessed by most people. It's something we can all relate to, and we've all experienced those occasions where songs and dialogue seem to be communicating to us on a completely different level than that which is commonly experienced.

Also consider to actual word, RADIO:

RA: The Egyptian Sun God

DIO: another name for God (in Italian)

Specific names of God expressed twice across 5 letters, linearly (with no wasted letters) is no coincidence.

Now to the point of all this...

Each night at 11:11pm I will scan both FM & AM radio bandwidths and will record the process from start to finish.

I will then label each segment & upload the audio. The audio will be recorded in Australia, primarily Sydney, and sometimes in Melbourne...

My initial intention will be to explore the relevance of this process, as well as to reflect the concepts of increasing connectivity (social, technological, consciousness, etc) and our current 'state of being' as a species.

And it will be interesting to see what other information is revealed while scanning the airwaves.

If enough interest is gained in the subject, I will then ask for you to submit questions to see what the Bandwidth Oracle reflects.

This is not a crystal ball. It's not meant to predict the future. It's more of a mirror that magnifies and intensifies what is presented to it. Hopefully this process will reveal something meaningful for you rather than only revealing everything about me (the guy turning the dial).

It's a simple process that nearly anyone can do on their own, however usually these instances of synchronicity involving radio are rarely recorded or even shared.

It's my intention that by providing a 'cultural snapshot' of a particular moment in time to the wider audience, it will both expand and strengthen our individual and collective experiences of what we call 'reality.' I also hope it will help further condense our worlds into a merged point of consiousness via shared synchronicity (as we approach 2012, of course).
