Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), directed by Anees Bazmee is an award winning movie: best Female Playback Singer & Screen Award for Best Female Playback Singer. Kajol was nominated as best actress in the year 1999.

The Film is a sweet romance and a remake of the hollywood film 'French Kisses'. Shortly after playing in this movie Kajol and Ajay Devgans got married.

Story: Sajana (Kajol), a very clumsy orphan lives in Paris. She is about to marry her Sweetheart Rahul (Bijay Anand). Rahul's business takes him on a trip to India, but Sanjan does not accompany him as she is scared of flying. One day Rahul call Sanjana and tell her that he has just fallen in love with Nisha (Kashmira Shah), and that soon he is getting married.Sanjana decides upon herself to get Rahul back whatever the price will be, even as going to fight her fear of flying. As the plane is about to take off a new passenger sits next to her named Shekhar (Ajay Devgan) a roguish thief...
