the trick to dyslexia is to quite thinking of it as a curse and learn to embrace it . i stopped trying to explain my theories or designs in words and started doing sketches or diagrams instead . thx to my wife pointing out that i was a graphic thinker instead of a verbal or script thinker . that comment changed everything . i still can't remember names and dates well ,but i can design/engineer inprovements to everyday inventions . they come to me in mental pictures

My son (11) is into day 3 of the Davis Dyslexia Correction Program. He is very positive about going 9 am- 4 pm every day for 5 days!!!! He already thinks he is "lucky" to have the GIFT of Dyslexia!!! His attitude is AMAZING!!! My husband is attending this program with him and he says it's great so far!!! We are crossing our fingers that this will help our son. My older brother has Dyslexia and has struggled his whole life. It is hereditary.

Ive learned to embrace it but still my lecturers make me feel retarded for learning a different way to the way they teach us we should learn!
