this song is called throaway lyrics:
Used to play the casanova
Smoother than the bossa nova
Love to play the romeo
But I never need a home to go to
I'm so greasy, I'm so slick.
I leave no traces
I just get out quick
I use cheap champagne
Brief affairs and backstage love
But a love like this
Is much too good
To ever throwaway

I've played the fool
I've played the clown
I'm an easy lover
When I come to town
It's a fashion
It's a buyers market
It's a buyer's market
To bust it up
Before it's really started
I'm incurably romantic
If you leave me I'll go frantic
With cheap champagne
Brief affairs and backstage love

But a love like this
Is much too good
To ever throwaway
Yes a love like this
Is much too good
To ever throwaway
If the glove still fits
Don't call it quits
Don't throw your life away
Cause a love like this
Is much too good
To ever throwaway

Used to play the casanova
Faster than a roller coaster
I gave you the best years of my life
Don't you kick me in the gutter

Cause a love like this
Is much too good
To ever throwaway
Yes a love like this
Is much too good
To ever throwaway
Yes there's many a slip
Between a cup and lip
Don't let it slide away
Cause a love like this
Is much too good
To ever throwaway

  • This is one of my fave song of Mick's, I was often heard this song when i was in college... make my spirit up.. such a great song to me...

  • This is far and away the peak of Mick's solo career (granted, there were only a few memorable moments) and it still sounds terrific 24 years later. Mick was never able to summon up the passion and sincerity of this track on anything afterwards, either solo or with the Stones. When he shouts "Worth More Than Money!", you almost believe that Mick genuinely means it. Great stuff.

  • Not only is it the great Simon Phillips on drums, not only does he rock like a bad un, but a little known fact that the drums were recorded last make it even more amazing!!

  • this sucks. Mick get a beter producer or something....vapid

  • Bozzio was the drummer

  • que buen tema !!!

  • I love this song!!!

  • Mick Jagger gitu loh...

Gada lagi penyanyi yang paling keren, antique, selain Mick Jagger.

Gw fanatik berat sama Mick Jagger.

Pokonamah Mick Jagger is the best ocheeyyyzzz.........!!

  • @lambertroberts

    Who's one and two?

  • Simon Phillips and Doug Wimbish !!!what a rhytmic session!!!!

    Jeff Beck on guitar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jeff beck,,, number 3 guitar man

  • jeff beck,,,axe man !!!!!

  • Good tribute to Mick

This is simply THE BEST song in the world thanks to Simon Phillips on drums

    He's a powerhouse indeed

  • VAMO LOS STONES, KEITH ES MICK, MICK ES KEITH,

  • nice one!

  • yeach...play boy sosaity....

  • @JaggerJulie This a late response, but do not listen to an ignorant hater like PaulLondon. It appears many people are jealous of mick and he/she? is one of them. Mick is the ultimate rock singer, second to none, and far from a caberet act. I prefer mick in the stones, but this is a great song.

  • @RickGLucas Actually, thats backwards. Simon is credited (as well as Omar Hakim) as the drummer on the 'primitive cool' album. Terry was only in the video for Throwaway.

  • that's a ripper, wish the guitar was higher in the mix

  • actually ,it was Terry Bozzio on the recording session, and Simon on the live video version on the drums.keithaholic might post the studio version video for us (hint hint) !!

  • GREAT tune but who is gonna post the real video?? I have it on VHS

  • @PAULLONDEN ...but I love his music.

  • @PAULLONDEN For me he's a great musician and I absolutely love his music.

  • @JaggerJulie

True...he's a great buisinesman, but stopped making great music 30 years ago.

Still...all respect to this man.he made The Rolling Stones, the best payed cabaret act, in the history of the world.
