What a pompous clown, really! You should just see how he enters Committee meetings - you'd think he's God's gift to democracy and freedom.

Thats why the smaller parties in the EP look more attractive to me. Not the EU phobic nuts of the kind of UKIP but small parties which stand for the kind of development I would like to see: a strengthening of European democracy, if necessary for reaching that aim by strengthening the supranational nature of the EU.

"Strengthening European democracy... by strenghtening the supranational nature of the EU" is an oxymoron of the highest kind. Democracy is found in smaller states. The larger the state, federation or empire the less democratic power do people have - read some Jean Jacques Rousseau, for heaven's sake man! Or delve into the development of the Soviet Union.
