Our second HD video. We hadn't planned to do this one, but I wanted to see how well the HD would show up the right hand part. This piece was also inspired by Michael Hedges. It's one of my favorites.

The tuning is CGdgde, with the Harmonic Capo on the "dgde" strings. The normal B string is tuned up to D, not down.

  • Very Nice Job! Can I have the Score?

  • @oswa0714006 Wow. I wish I could give you a score, but I've never written this one down. If I did write it down, I'm not sure how I'd notate some of that right-hand stuff. I might need to do a tutorial video just to explain some of it. You'd also need a harmonic capo. I can't promise that I can do anything soon, but if you're really serious about learning this, I'll see what I can do. It would be a great honor to see someone else play it.

  • What a beautiful song!

  • great work!

  • It's about childhood. It's about that time in life when spinning on a carrosel is the happiest thing you can do. It's also about the sadness of leaving that time behind.

The Hedges part of the inspiration is unrelated. That's more about the technique of playing it. The one time I played for Michael, he gave me some advice and this piece (technically speaking) is where that advice eventually led me. Most of my music would not exist if it weren't for him.
