This system sucks. We have had one for 1.5 years and constantly struggle to keep the smell in check. We had to move ours from my sons room into he bathroom as the smell was too much. Refills are very costly, and you tend to go through them way too fast. Not recommended.

We used this for our son for several years and are about to have another child this system works great with the smell and disposal. We recieved both a Diaper Genie and the Dekor for a shower gifts. Hands down the Dekor was better for smell, simple and quick use and cost. Usage was heavy to begin with obviously due amount of changes you have do when your child is younger but with time reduced diaper changes and had to only buy 3 refills over a few years til potty training.

I don't know if this woman can't smell or just never takes out the trash...but we've had the Dekor Plus for about 4 months and have gone through 2 refill boxes...that's 4 bags we've bought, plus the one it came with. Maybe her baby's poo doesn't stink??

We like the system, but the bags seem to run out way too fast, and at an average of about $9 per bag, I don't know that we're any better off than if we just used a regular trash can & bags.

as someone who dealt with a diaper genie for 4 years-

i already prefer this --

But we'll see about the "smell" later.....

(diaper genie didn't grant much rose smelling wishes either as I recall)

thank you! Daughter is a week old now, and i lost the instructions-- and it's time to change the bag!!

I know it's self explanatory if you really look, but when you're sleep deprived like us, even a door knob can confuse you.

those things start to stink so bad ours we had to through away because the smell was so horrible

This is an excellent poo container. It can even log onto XBL, but that quality is dwarfed by it's affinity with baby poo.
