@andrewc2768 What evidence is there that they were warlike? It strikes me that if that were the case then the native Americans would have seen off the Europeans pretty quickly.
@andrewc2768 As this film points out, the European colonists were heavily outnumbered yet the native Americans did not see them off.

@alanheath A stone age society cannot"off" one which invades with steel weapons. Natives in America couldn't even make bronze.

how do we know that the native inhabitants lived in relative peace? there is no evidence of that, Im sure they were warlike
