I use to drink at the old airport in the early seventies . I rember people flying their model planes. Even a few concerts out their. 73-83 my time in Kona. Could be a rough place at times back then, but would not
trade it for anything. I worked at Ocean View Inn also.

Used to be my spot to in the early 90's. Pavillions was the best left hand on the island.I remeber kids like Joey and Kimo really blowing up there around that time. I even enter a bodyboarding contest they had there in 92.Real good memories.

I used to bodyboard pavilions every morning before work in the early 90's. I still have scars from there. One of my fav places to surf. Seeing that view to the south brings back so many memories...

I miss the people flying their model airplanes. If you alk all the way north on the old tarmac then cross over the fence ther's a great place t camp. Mahalo.
