For more than 170 years, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has declared the Book of Mormon to be a scriptural and literal history. Subtitled "Another Testament of Jesus Christ," it recounts the story story of an Israelite family who immigrated to and fully populated the American continents. Jesus, after His death and resurrection, is said to have visited this once-great Israelite civilization existing in the Americas.

The Book of Mormon teaches that these Israelites are the principal ancestors of modern-day Native Americans. New discoveries in DNA research currently allow scientists to test this historical claim. Thousands of Native Americans from more than 150 tribes have been tested to determine their ancestry.

Now the same DNA evidence used in courts of law can credibly speak to the validity of The Book of Mormon, which serves as the foundation of the Mormon religion. The evidence answers one basic question: Are Israelites the principal ancestors of Native Americans?

"DNA vs. The Book of Mormon" presents the evidence from DNA researchers, including Mormon scientists, who are wrestling with the DNA dilemma that now faces Mormonism.

Participants: Thomas W. Murphy; Dr. Simon Southerton; Dr. Randall Shortridge, and others.

  • So I am supposed to believe that no one of Eurasian/Mongolian ancestry crossed the Bering Strait but instead some Middle Eastern Semitic Caucasian Israelites came by boat from ancient Israel to the Americas.

And I am to believe that Gd made the good Israelites "white" and the bad ones dark skinned as punishment... and now all the native americans are dark skinned because they descend from a rebellious bad guy of caucasian semitic origin.

    Right....... :D

  • @lesalezza BS!! The "hapologroup X" crap LDS is trying to pawn off conveniently neglects to mention that those links date back long before "The Book of Mormon" times.

What group of independent, Non-LDS affiliated research groups have authenticated these findings??

  • genetic evidence joins the list of MISSING evidences for the Book of Mormon. Geographical, archeological, linguistic, animals, metals and architecture.

Read the book of Mormon ( without the ridiculous volumes of study guides or mormon apology ) and asks yourself. Why is it that the book of Mormon does not fit anything Mayan or native American.

  • Excellent Video. How Mormons can accept the pseudo-science of Israelis traveling to the Western Hemisphere (8,500 miles) and creating the Native Americans race with NO DNA, archeological or historical evidence to support this wild claim is absolutely amazing. And then there is the claim of the Mark of Cain where God made Cain black and evil because of his murder of Abel-thus not allowing Blacks to become high priests of the Church until 1978 when a "revelation" allowed them to accepted-Racism?

  • very entertaining..

  • @kingsmen711Oh, that is easy, IMO Religions are man made, therefore they are only mans attempt to define and get close to God. Many religions hold some truth but no religion has all truth. Much of it they guess about as they have never actually known God. Instead religions will make things up. Because of this imperfectness you could easily come to the conclusion that religions are false and God never established a particular religion. If you know the perfect religion tell us all and explain why.

  • To all the dislikes, please tell me where Zarahemla is and and where all of the Lamanites and their ancestors are? Don't give me your opinion, I want to know either proven facts, or what official doctrine from the prophet is. Surely, if he is a true prophet God would tell him that. I am not interested in what apologists say. I only want replies on official doctrine, otherwise, if what you say is proven false next year Mormons will just say that is not official doctrine.

  • this video is alright until at the end, they used the bible, to try to convert mormon to a other delusion, christianity, will people ever learn, how many time do you need to be brainwashed to see the truth, religion itself is the problem, more then that the real problem is indoctrination,

faith, beleiving in something that cannot be supported by evidence, and beleiving you know how the world work, when you dont,

science, morality, rational thinking, is the way to go,

  • This video is interesting because its primary method of disputing theological literature is through the findings of scientific research. I would encourage the authors of this video to challenge other factually false theological texts, such as the Torah, The Old Testament, The New Testament and the Koran, through similar scientific methodology.

  • Mitt Romney truly believes that he will become a real “god” and be given his own planet tocall his wife into to populate with spirit children. Would you vote for a man who truly believes he will become a REAL GOD AND BE GIVEN HIS OWN PLANET? Or, would you question his judgment in the highest office in the land? Folks, this is the honest to God (no pun intended) truth.

  • Mormons wake up that book is so false...may God have mercy on your souls if you don't.

  • I hope all the black LDS see this and understand they think we are beneath them...and get out and find the real JESUS CHRIST OF THE BIBLE.
