For more than 170 years, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has declared the Book of Mormon to be a scriptural and literal history. Subtitled "Another Testament of Jesus Christ," it recounts the story story of an Israelite family who immigrated to and fully populated the American continents. Jesus, after His death and resurrection, is said to have visited this once-great Israelite civilization existing in the Americas.

The Book of Mormon teaches that these Israelites are the principal ancestors of modern-day Native Americans. New discoveries in DNA research currently allow scientists to test this historical claim. Thousands of Native Americans from more than 150 tribes have been tested to determine their ancestry.

Now the same DNA evidence used in courts of law can credibly speak to the validity of The Book of Mormon, which serves as the foundation of the Mormon religion. The evidence answers one basic question: Are Israelites the principal ancestors of Native Americans?

"DNA vs. The Book of Mormon" presents the evidence from DNA researchers, including Mormon scientists, who are wrestling with the DNA dilemma that now faces Mormonism.

Participants: Thomas W. Murphy; Dr. Simon Southerton; Dr. Randall Shortridge, and others.

I can and do, speak for all true Christians, just as they may speak for me. We are one in Christ Jesus. Those who know this; Christ crucified, and that He was raised the third day. Go to Ephraim church of the Bible dot org. Click on the high lighted message from 5/19 1 Corinthians 3:5-9 (last week). Listen with the heart of a child. Have your eyes opened. God Bless.

The message we are trying to convey here, can ONLY be received by those who have had their eyes opened by the Spirit of God. D2modplayer1, Chanda, I wish you well.

Forget? Can you show Chandra ever believed anything you are saying to be capable of forgetting?

I don't think you can speak for all Christians, many have different belief's than you do and as I pointed out the very first true Christians (ever recognized) in the book of Alma before Christ even appeared, because they knew by prophecy he would come and knew him by name. I can't find "Jesus" or "Christ" anywhere in the New Testament. Good thing we have the BoM as backup!

You did just fine, thank you. I was swamped with comments on another thread, I've made around 20+ before even getting here!

They call it a weapon of peace because they choose death over using it to kill to keep the promise to their Lord to never repeat any sin they had repented for. Are you referring to another aspect of this verse?

This indicates his humility before the Lord and his feeling unworthy of all the mysteries of heaven and earth and his inability to comprehend it, but also recognizing despite weakness that he knows a great deal otherwise.

    Not entirely true.

You say you are Christian and we believe you.

We claim the same but you don't believe us.

Which has the more righteous judgment of the other? Which follows Christ's teachings more correctly? You say we don't follow the New Testament when it is in our standard works. You say we are like Jews. You say we pray to false Gods. You say our prophet was a whoremonger. You say our scripture is of men. You say we are the church of Satan.

There is more if you like...

    John 13

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

This is a song in my church, you have probably heard it before. It is one of my favorites. I pray I do not show to the contrary.
