Fishing for Atlantic Bonito from Topsail Island, NC

Fishing for great catches of Atlantic Bonito off the beach at Topsail Island North Carolina. Captain Scott Erickson and Tanner Gray fish for this tasty, hard fighting member of the tuna family while they migrate past New River Inlet and NC. Every angler should include some vacation time for these fish. It's our favorite fishing of the year. Bonito should not be confused with False Albacore or Bonita or Fat Alberts. They will move from up the North Carolina coast from Oak Island to Wrightsville Beach to Emerald Isle and Morehead City, up the Outer Banks including Hatteras, Corolla, and more. Get them while they are here!

We typically pull Yozuri diving plugs, orange, pink, or clown work best. Orange or pink diamond jigs while drifting or tossed at schooling fish work well too.
