  • Cool I've never seen a drag line feeding a crusher before. Got to love the sound of the jaw hammering all day puts rite too sleep.

  • @littleitchy Feeding with a dragline works great for us, especially in deep pits where an excavator is not even practical. Thats really all we use, this 3.5 yd dragline (Northwest Model 95), and also we use Northwest Model 6's if the pit is not too deep.

  • That looks like my old plant! Where did you get that at?

  • @FOLDEDME1 We got this plant 4 years ago at an RB auction. It belonged to Hallett Materials( Kenny was his name that was with the plant.), and it belonged to one other owner when they acquired the company. I want to say Petersen. Where did you work at?

  • Thats one cool operation you got running there!

  • I work for Hallett Materials and that is our old plant, Kenny was my boss! I know that plant inside and out!

  • He is the owner of the business has been running a dragline since he was a kid. We have always ran Northwest. My dad (the operator of the dragline) used to use Sargent draglines until they need a bigger machine.

  • that guy is good on that dragline

    very cool

  • @cnote4461 Thanks, I plan to post of few more of the same operation in the near future.

  • Love this!!! Reminds me of my late uncle who worked at a rock quarry in Little Rock years ago - he would take me there to watch all the machinery at work! Great post!!
