In June 21,2008, Typhoon Fengshen swept the major provinces of Panay causing more than 500 deaths, massive flashfloods, mudflow, and damages in thousands of homes and other infrastructures worth billions of pesos. Two weeks after the storm, World Vision assisted almost 13,000 affected families in the provinces of Aklan, Iloilo, Antique, and Capiz. More help is needed to complete the target of assisting 25,000 families in providing food/relief, establishing Child-friendly spaces, and initially rebuilding communities in the long term.
