She says she received hundreds of calls from reporters, and was suffering health problems from the stress, being forced to relieve the experience all over again, and just wanted it to end. Said she could loose her job even, there too many people there harassing her apparently.

he was already prosecuted for the original crime and found guilty. He skipped the country before sentencing.
If you are meaning prosecute him for running and not serving his prison sentence. I agree

he was prosecuted and found guilty. he should be extradited and serve out the sentence. shouldn't matter what he's done since then. he did the crime, he fled, he's just like Ira Einhorn.

Social decline is going to ruin this planet. Just let the guy serve his sentence. Its normal to sympathize fellow human beings but if were just going to break laws established in the process and have actual order in our societies then we're just going to ruin everything in the end cause we use our emotions to get the best of our intelligence.

Not up to the victim? I think it IS up to the victim!

He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent and if he gets off that would be major bs.

It is not up to the victim to drop the case. No disrespect to this person, the State brought the charges and the State does this because many times the victim will drop charges letting the criminal re-offend.
I understand her wanting to move on, however, criminals must be punished
it does not matter if she wants the case dropped
he was convicted and is a convicted fugitive so her testimony is not necc.

Once the victim makes a complaint, is out of their hands. The police investigates, take it to the DA and based on the evidence, the DA takes it to court.
This is not a civil action, this is a criminal offense.
Polanski was found guilty and skipped before sentencing. It is not up to her whether or not the State goes after him. It is the State's duty to make sure justice is served.
