Audio: 'Deep blue day', by Brian Eno.
This is an experiment which involves both music and painting; I wanted people to listen to different kinds of music and draw or paint whatever or however they felt this music communicated to them. My intentions were not to prove anything, just to offer the volunteers in this experiment a chance to let their intuition go and just play with ideas, colors, and feelings. This was one of my personal video projects on my fourth year at the Fine Arts school.
The volunteers were given only a set of crayons and a sheet of paper [size A3]; all the music was chosen by me, and the choices were made among a very wide range of styles and emotional moods. The volunteers had no previous knowledge of what songs they were about to hear in each moment. Of course, they could start or stop drawing whenever they wanted to.
Interesting, but it's obvious this beautiful ethereal otherworldly music evokes "wavy" feelings in every "sane"human being, that's no surprise.
it would be more interesting if you did this experiment with psychopahts and murderers.
