I'm thinking... The relationship between the man and the woman isn't going so well, he finds it harder to maker her laugh, smile then even talk to him.
He hears her dancing to the music he gave her in the white box, and leaves hoping that she's enjoying herself at least a little bit, he then dances to the same music because he wants to try and show that he can be entertaining too...

As far as I can tell, this is the story of a man and a woman who know they're not working and feel uncomfortable pushing each other away. Notice the woman only looks at him when his back is turned, and refuses to speak to him. The only sound in the house is music when he's away. He's trying hard to work things out, leaving instead of interrupting her dance, and trying to get her to dance with him. Still, in the end, they're doomed; and she ends up thinking about all the life beyond her window.

@goldlakemoonshine Hmm my first impression was that the girl is quite stuck-up. Interesting... Briand is really good indeed!

i was watching this and from 6:05 the scene looked very familiar. totally inspired by jarmusch's film 'permenant vacation' ... if i'm not mistaken! youtube, "permenant vacation dance" :)
interesting. My first impressions of this film is that the girl is oppressed by the guy. It's all very cryptic. It'll dawn on me
(hopefully)
