A Japanese H-IIB (H-2-B) rocket launched from the Tanegashima (pron: Tan-uh-GOSH'-ih-mah) Space Center in southern Japan on Jan. xx, 2011, to place the "Kounotori" (pron: Kah-no-TORR'-ee) HTV2 cargo ship into orbit for a rendezvous with the International Space Station. The HTV2 is loaded with almost 5 tons of supplies and spare parts for the station. Upon its arrival, it will be grappled by the station's robotic arm and attached to the Earth-facing port of the Harmony module, from where its cargo will be transferred to the orbital complex.

  • @megamarsvin heh,heh.

  • @geargemartin Hey we don't believe in no-win scenarios ;)

  • @Totenkopf6 understanding the resources that space can offer is going to be the key in bringing the population around. Once they understand there is water, we can grow food on these other worlds and there are nuclear based energy resources there that could allow us to expand the caring capacity of our economy as well as bond our way out of our debts like what the european nations did during the age of new world exploration. Nasa for some reason doesn't like to post mineral surveys.

  • Later, near the neutral zone, the ship sent a distress single. The Federation Star Ship Enterprise while attempting a rescue mission was attacked by two Klingon Battlecruisers. Both the Japanese cargo ship and the Enterprise was destroyed. A no win scenario...Sigh.
