@nervouss Actually, with their own lanes on wide suburban streets and fewer stops, the modern LRT in Toronto would be fast and efficient. The fact is that many suburban bus routes are overcrowded and the extra capacity and reliability of light rail in its own right-of-way would really help.

@canaidol They have the money. Cut down on "socialist" programs, and get government out of business it shouldn't be and they money is there. Reduce bureaucracy and make transit EFFICIENT. Been to NYC? Subways all over the place. Stop squeezing businesses. so they can STAY here and the money will be there. FUCK IDEOLOGY. Allow private companies to build new subways as well as operate them with PROPER REGULATION, so we dont get another 407 Scam.

@regan4000 in regards to LRT having to stop at traffic lights. They'll probably do what Brampton Transit/VIVA will begin doing, have priority traffic lights that will allow them move more easily thru intersections.
I would like to see the GTA use a one fare system for TTC, YRT and the Peel Transits systems. But I dont support them to amalgamate. The TTC has PR and other issues that I dont want to see get associated to the 905 transit systems.
