Horny Bull Frog

This is one of the males I was able to save from a cruel painfull death from a local Asian Market. They keep Frogs in a Waterless,Crowded tank & force them into hibernation. During this time the Ecoli present in the tank gets inside the Frogs sores that are acquired while in transport(shoved in cardboard boxes).This is One eyed Jack & unfortunately he lost an eye while in captivity. Hes very affectionate which is probably hard to imagine(in more ways than one you will see). He will crawl out of the pond we built & sit on my foot until I pick him up & hold him"Very Unusual"He has mated twice with the same Female this Spring/Summer & I guess thats just not enough!. He will clutch my wrist or fingers when I stick them in the water. I then vibrate/move my hand up & down.He thinks its a Female Frog dispursing her eggs(or a good substitute haha).He also will Growl & we are going to try to obtain another video so you can hear it(this is not something you would hear in person due to the fact frogs will not mate with an audience!).Anyways enjoy the video,Lucci

Yeah he was so poor to miss veins continuing to bust open,skin rotting off,loss of toe bones,starvation & oh the wonderful convulsions in the end! He would have lived another week at the most in the cruel Asian market with 50 others sitting on top of him oozing with blood and decay! Instead had 3yrs of the best food,never missed a day without food,safe enclosed clean pond to swim in,and a female companion to boot!

Between May & July the male becomes very Horny. When I feed him he swims over & will latch my wrist & start singing.I start shaking my hand simulating. a fem. frog during mating. He grabs harder and starts to growl. Its all in good fun but I seem to get my share of rude coments.The frogtrusted me%100.I could walk around him & he didnt budge an inch. This one & the female suffocated in 07 while hibernating.I cried for weeks!I have a new group Isaved.The red leg was harder to cure this time 2mos!.
