The International Nativity Museum
The International Nativity Museum was inaugurated during the millennium celebrations at the Salesian Convent in Bethlehem as a symbol of Peace. The Museum was established under the auspices of UNESCO and the direction of Dr. Alfredo Troisi, originator of the large International Exposition of the Nativity Scene in Art and Tradition, in Verona , Italy .
Cribs from all over the world are presented in a lively and colorful way, reflecting various cultures' visions of the Nativity by people around the world. The Nativity Scene is a real representation of Jesus's birth. It gives a sense of reality, as if one was really there. Its three dimensional feature distinguishes the Nativity Scene by paintings, frescos, mosaics and low-reliefs with the same subject. This is a popular representation as a work that everyone can understand for its universality. These peculiarities explain why cribs representing the Nativity Scene have reached other cultures in different countries using their local artistic expressions.
Inserted in the beautifully renovated vaulted rooms of the Salesian Convent, the cribs offer to the beholder a promenade in history and civilizations, full of tenderness and hope in the message of peace given by the holy Infant. The climate of true history, together with the place, sounds, lights and multimedia, increase the suggestion of the works exhibited from all over the world, transforming the beholder from visitor to actor in an unchanged story during the centuries.
The International Museum of Nativity was created to show works of high artistic quality in a suggestive atmosphere. It is located in the Salesian Institute, in the heart of the Old City of Bethlehem. This Institute was built in the 19th century in the Arabian-Norman tradition which underlines the ecumenical nature of the Museum.
Location: Bethlehem , Salesian Street.

santa has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. Santa does not reflect anything of the city where Jesus was born. he is just a commercial invention to sell goods during christmas. Seems like in the United States Santa is promoted more than Jesus Christ. even some homes show big santas in their yard instead of Jesus. this is wrong and misleading.
