Hi! I have a big problem with my xenyx 802 (visit my video please), at least I think the mixer is the problem and not the cables.Listen to it with your sound card at maximum.I hope you could give me an advice.Thank you.I must know until tomorrow, because I just bought it and if it has a problem, I will bring him back.

@7ippy7 : Hello there, I so happen to be doing just that. I have recorded some stuff using MIXCRAFT 5 software and this mixer. You can check out my stuff on my page. I recorded drums guitar and vocals all with this mixer.

i wanna be a dj but im lookin for a mixer that can deliver sound from my computer to my built in amplifier speakers will the behringer 802 mixer work for it?

If I'm thinking of buying a headphone amplifier, would I still need to buy it if I have this?

I'm thinking about buying this mixer. I'm just not sure that is this kit is right for me. I just want to record 3 vocal (2 XLR, 1 1/4) and some background music together. Is audio interface a better option for recording. I try to find an answer from internet but it makes me more confused.

how to i plug my electic guitar into and record it?
can i not plug it directly into the mixer?

All ive ever wanted is something cheap to use as a mixer and i got one of these. It hisses like crap. I have been plugging my mic directly into my soundcard with NO interface whatsoever for years and that picks up NO hiss whatsoever. I've tried to buy a vocal fx processor (digitech vocal 300) and now also one of these Xenyx mixers and both of these add intolerable amount of hiss to the signal. It is so annoying that they make you pay a shitload of money just to get something that works

@JokerVBA if your using a TRS 1/4" (stereo) and your putting it into the left input, then that may be your problem. Try using a TS 1/4" (mono) on the left input on the channel, or get a 1/8" stereo to dual 1/4" mono. I hope this was a help ;)

hi. I'm just wondering, if I'm going to buy an interface, do I still need this? Or can I use both? What's better for recording?

@KerbyChanMusic An interface can be used for recording mics and drums by its self. Keep in mind, most interfaces only have one or two inputs, the mixer allows you to have more than 1 or 2 inputs. You can use both. I would say a mixer and an interface would work better for recording purposes.

@pbcasttv
Well, I'm going to use PC for recording, what do you recommend for me? If I should choose one between them, what would it be?

@KerbyChanMusic Take into consideration on how much you want to spend. An interface is of course better, but if you are on a budget it really isn't that important.

what is the fx for? what does it do?

@nivraznerol It is meant to be a send for an effects processor, but just think of it as an ouput.
