lol, one of my friends hit their head on one of these while going down the stairs at a church camp. He ripped it right out of the ceiling.

I got an idea. Take a 12 volt power supply and hook the negative to one of the springs and the positive to one of the contacts directly across. Try different combos until the unit gets power.
