Tax Collector Hit on Tape

The city of New Haven CT has a scanner that takes license plate information and compares it to a directory of delinquent taxpayers. Those cars are then seized and impounded until the taxes are paid.
On Monday January 22, 2007, Tax collector C.J. Cutasello was attempting to impound the vehicle of a delinquent taxpayer when the driver of the vehicle hit him with the car. All this was captured on video tape by John Krebs and Katishia Cosley from Fox 61 WTIC TV, www.fox61.com.
Cutasello was treated and released. Kim Alston, 26, of New Haven, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree, assault in the third degree and evading responsibility.
