it means its a low head

what the hell! public murder machine

@scott71458 Low head simply means the dam isn't very high. "Hydraulic head" is a measure of water pressure caused by the height of water above some other point, such as in a hydroelectric dam, thus a dam that's not high is a low head dam.

that thing is a drowning machine. look at how far away the boil line is. DEATH 100%.
-
what does low head mean
-
I guess what confuses the mind to make people want to get near one of these is because it does look so "calm." I know that it can pull you under...but that water coming over the low head seems like it would need to be at least a foot deep. It's hard to tell it's depth on here, but it could be several feet I guess.

why are low head dams essential? was it just a flaw of design when installed? if you placed concrete stairs instead of a steep slop you would have something recreational, not suicidal.

Hey though guy if youre so cool then why don't you jump in to it HUH?!!!

...wow, you sure have an good eye for that(dumb ass)
It is deceiving; the water here is actually more than 10 feet deep, perhaps 12-15 feet in the center when the water is at this level.
